Correspondence with individuals throughout the United States, primarily about the Clark family, in preparation for a publication "Family History and Genealogy of John Clark and His Descendants" (1937) compiled by John E. Bull of Essex, Connecticut. The original manuscript is at the Connecticut State Library. His most frequent correspondents included Sarah B. Fowler, J. Tillotson Clark, Henry A. Clark, Francis H. Parker, D.M. Clark, Henry W. Belknap, Frederick L'Hommedieu, and Henry S. Booth. Other family names that appear in the letters are Ingham and Dennison. Also includes an 1862 letter addressed to Dear Sister and signed Abbie.
